Let’s Explore!
Hi! I’m Kenny Sholes and I was born and raised here in the Ag Reserve. After serving in the Army, my wife and two children moved back to Poolesville in 2016. On an almost weekly basis, I can be found exploring the rustic roads around us, looking for historic treasures (homes, cemeteries, fences, farm equipment, etc.) with my children – much as I did with my dad when I was little. I love the history of this place and created this page to showcase the incredible historic assets around us.

In conjunction with exploring the history of the Ag Reserve, I sit on the boards of the Historic Medley District and the Montgomery Countryside Alliance.
I also run a small educational consultancy focused on helping students and families navigate the college admissions process in a manner that reduces stress and improves outcomes. You can learn more about that here: www.foundryadmissions.com
Moving forward, I plan to use this page to become more aggressive in promoting, protecting, and preserving the amazing historic properties here in the Ag Reserve. Please check back often for new property explorations and come explore with me!

Have an interesting story about an old home to share? Interested in learning more about a particular historic property? Send us a note or give us a call!!
